"The activities of the individual may not clash with the interests of the whole, but must proceed within the frame of the community and be for the general good" this quote demonstrates a collective ideology.
Collectivism is a way of thinking that takes the values of the common good over the individuals values. Some will say collectivism is more reasonable because it is for the common good, though others can disagree because individualism gives you the freedom for private property.
